New to VMware - Can i raise alarm( send email) whenever a LUN is more than 80% used

Hi All,

Sorry if I am asking a very basic question.

Can i configure an Alarm on which an email is sent whenever a LUN is more than 80% used.

yes, you can do that, go to the alrams tab in the vcenter , right click and create a new alarm and assign what ever you want.

Create a alarm for the datastore and specify the limit when the alert has to be generated and on the Action select the email option. Also make sure to configure the SMTP details in the vCenter
