Monitoring remote vcenter implementation

Hello Experts,

Newbie question - we have 5 or 6 virtual implementations geographically separated though on the same network (same root different OU's). Can anyone point me to a whitepaper or tutorial discussing my options as far as monitoring those remote sites via vcops or another tool? And has anyone had any experiences (bad or good) using vcops (or another tool) for this? I am thinking bandwidth, lag, setup etc etc? That would be huge and appreciated...

If all location are managed from vCenter (single or multiple in Linked Mode) you can use the vCOPs to monitor all your environment.

The follow link talks about vCOPs monitoring across a WAN link: Using vCenter Operations v5 – Introduction and deployment (1/3) | www.vExperienced.co.uk
