Missing Hardware status objects in vCenter

I have a HP host running 5.0 U2. I used the HP customised OEM media which includes all of the HP CIM agents etc.

When I click on the hardware status tab in virtual center I can only see the CPU and Memory objects, nothing else.

if I log in directly to the host I can see everything.

I have tried restarting VC and also remove the host from the VC inventory and adding back in.

Any ideas?

vCenter is 5.0 I did come across some of these posts but they seemd to be related to 4.1 hosts. We did actually have this exact symptom before upgrading the hosts.

Our problem is slightly differnent though as we can see some information in the hardware status inventory.

I guess resetting the inventory database is an option, but something I was hoping to avoid

took the plunge and reset the database, also restarted VC for good measure. Still the same problem, just for this host only Processor and Memory show.

if I log in directly to the host I can see everything

Very odd

Curious indeed,

Does the log file (C:\ProgramData\VMware\Infrastructure\Inventory Service\Logs\ds.log) show any particular errors?

Hi, Thanks for your suggestions,  I had a look through the logs and couldn't see anything that would stand out to indicate a problem, it's a real mystery so far.
