Migration of vmware VMs between two datacenters using Advanced Cross vCenter vMotion XVM

Dear community support,

I would like to ask whether it is possible to run The Advanced Cross vCenter Server vMotion (XVM) - https://core.vmware.com/resource/introducing-advanced-cross-vcenter-server-vmotion-capability#sectio... in following setup

VMs migrated from source datacentrum DC:

ESXi 6.0.0 hypervisor (build-6921384) - this should be ESXi 6.0 Update 3

vCenter on Windows 6.0 - I am planning to migrate vCenter on Windows to dedicated VCSA 6.5/6.7 before Advanced Cross Migration XVM. Based on compatability matrix should be VCSA v6.5 or 6.7 compatible with underlying esxi hypervisor 6.0 on source DC

VMs migrated into target datacentrum DC:

esxi 7.0 hypervisor

vCenter 7.0 u1 or u2 - the most important thing for me is that this vCenter instance has Advanced Cross vCenter Server vMotion (XVM) capability.

In official docs for vmware 7.0 - https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/7.0/com.vmware.vsphere.vcenterhost.doc/GUID-ED703E35-269C-... - I only see prerequisite for source vCenter server 6.5 later. I do not see any note regarding version compatability for underlying esxi hypervisor.

However in https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2106952 I see "The Advanced Cross vCenter vMotion feature in vSphere 7.0 U1c is only supported between vSphere (vCenter and ESXi) instances 6.5 or greater,"

Is it required to have also esxi hypervisors in source DC to be upgraded from 6.0 to 6.5 before Advanced Cross Migration or is it sufficient to have only upgraded vCenter on source datacentrum to ver 6.5 or 6.7.

I work for web based agency and we currently host around 100 Live VMs in vmware platform for different customers. We are planning to migrate our workflows from current old hardware to newer one in different DC.

Thank you very much in advance for your reply

 Regards,

Peter
