Migrating vCenter Server 6.0U2 for Windows to vCenter Server Appliance 6.5U1 - Supported?

Hello

I was told that in order to carry out a supported migration from vCenter Server 6.0 for windows to vCenter server Appliance 6.5 U1 I need to be on 6.0U3 (currently on 6.0U2)

I cant find any documentation to support this extra hop in the upgrade process. can anyone advise?

Thank you

Dear beefy147

This is supported if you are currently running vCenter 6.0 U2 as per the below:

Thanks but this is the "upgrade" path and I want to do a migration. is using the migration tool while upgrading counted as "upgrade"?

Hi

If you migrate from 6.0 to 6.5 basically a new appliance will be deployed and data will be copied over. The old server will be powered off.In our case migration and upgrade is technically the same
