Migrate from Windows vCenter to VCSA

Hello,

is there an easy way to migrate from a Windows vCenter to the VCSA?

I've read about vCenter Server in linked mode and stuff like that to migrate the VMs between the vCenters.

Currently I have a Windows vCenter with external MSSQL database.

I tried to following:

- Deployed the new VCSA and imported the vDS settings from the old one.

- Disconnected the ESXi hosts on the old vCenter and connected it to the new one

But this isn't really working because of the vDS...

Regards

Sebastian

what is the vcenter version you are running ?

We had a fling available for this conversion and it is no more available. Currently, this migration tool is embedded with 6.5 vcenter package. You can upgrade the vcenter from current version to vcenter 6.5 appliance, check the following article for more info
