Migrate a vCenter Appliance to a "server version"

Hello,

I'm running a vCenter as an appliance. I want to switch now to a windows installation. Actually I'm running version 5.1 and I plan to migrate to version 5.5

Is there a way to migrate such appliance if possible in a one shot ?

Thx for answer in advance.

Hi,

why do you want to migrate to the Windows Version?

There is no direct upgrade/migrate path.

What you can do though is to use a VMware fling: InventorySnapshot – VMware Labs to migrate your Inventory over to the Windows Installation.
