Migrate a cluster to a new vCenter

My current vCenter manages 4 clusters and 1 of my customers wants to control his own cluster and have me spin up a virtual appliance.

Now I'm thinking I can spin up the vCA, detach the ESXi host from the current vCenter (which is Windows) and attach the ESXi host to the vCenter appliance?  I obviously can't migrate the DB so I will end up losing historical information and vCenter settings (which I can manually recreate).  I don't have vDS to contend with just standard switching, is there anything I'm missing or is it that simple?

Thanks

It's really simple and the following VMware KB article shows the procedure: How to move ESXi/ESX host from one vCenter Server to another (1004775) | VMware KB

Note that if you use other VMware solutions, like VDP and vROPs you will may need to deploy a new VDP and add the new vCenter to vROPs.
