Manually delete or migrate vCLS folders

During initial cluster configuration, I had not specified a list of datastores that should be used of placement of vCLS VMs under

Configure > vSphere Cluster Service > Datastores.

So the vCLS VMs along with their folders got created on one of the datastores that I don't want included for vCLS placement. I have now added the datastore list under the configuration. The VMs have migrated but there are still some folders present on the datastore. I am not sure what these folders are about and whether or not it's okay to delete them. Also, when I search the vCenter for VMs having the same names as the folders, I get no results. So its possible that the vCLS VMs whose folders are present on this DS have already been deleted. But I want to be sure that there will be no configuration issues if I delete these folders.

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Please make sure the on new DS, you have the corresponding folder for each vCLS VM and some important files like vmx and vmdk have migrated successfully to the new folder. As you have not mentioned if any files are still there in the old folder, if not, i don't think any issue deleting the old folder.

The folders actually have files:

vCLS-69d0b63d-38b0-4f78-bd11-1c5d4e306d48-68cc83e1.hlog
vCLS-69d0b63d-38b0-4f78-bd11-1c5d4e306d48.vmdk
vCLS-69d0b63d-38b0-4f78-bd11-1c5d4e306d48.vmx
vCLS-69d0b63d-38b0-4f78-bd11-1c5d4e306d48.vmx.lck
vCLS-69d0b63d-38b0-4f78-bd11-1c5d4e306d48.vmx~

But there are no vCLS VMs with the name vCLS-69d0b63d-38b0-4f78-bd11-1c5d4e306d48.

And vCLS VMs that are currently running have their folders and corresponding files on other datastores.

Now the most safest way is to create a temporary folder on old DS and move these files to the temporary folder and check if everything is ok. If all goes good, you are good to delete the folders, otherwise move back files to the original folder.
