Hello everyone,
I will have 3 ESXi soon and i wondered if i could manage two of them with the last one ?
For example, i have a vCenter for each of the 3 hosts. I would like to manage the Host A (with a vCenter) and Host B (with an other vCenter) with the Host C.
It's like have a master vCenter who can control 2 child vCenter...
Can anyone help me ?
Thanks !
Hello,
First of all, sure you are giving an example about one vCenter for each host. because sure you know that we can manage all hosts with one vCenter within one site.
Accordingly to manage different vCenters from one location, you have to link them with one PSC. A feature with vSphere called Enhanced linked mode and now with vSphere 6.7 there is embedded linked mode also.
For more info about ELM (Enhanced Linked Mode): vCenter Enhanced Linked Mode

I'm not sure whether I understand what exactly you are asking for, but maybe it's vCenter Embedded Linked Mode for a vCenter Server Appliance with Embedded Platform Services Controll... what you are looking for!? But for only 3 hosts ...?
Maybe it will help if you could explain the goal for this, i.e. what you want/need to achieve!?

you can have all 3 centers managed under 1 interface is this is what you are trying to achieve ?
Read through this blog completely and validate if this is what you are trying to achieve.

It looks like what I am looking for, thank you very much HassanAlKak88 for your help!

Thank you André, i found the answers to my questions below !
But to get back to the original point:
Why do you want to manage each host separately? 1 vCenter can easily manage all 3 hosts.
Somehow I can't make sense of that with only three hosts and I have the feeling that you are making life unnecessarily difficult for yourself?
I would sk84 signed that.
Also for the enhanced LinkMode you need vCenter Standard (i havend check vCenter Foundation yet) which is up to 4500,- each. Please describe why you need such a setup.

Joerg
