I've faced issues while trying to add ESX 5.5 Host to my VCenter server.
this is my last rows on my log file:

1) check the vcenter and esxi version, you cannot add higer version esxi on lower version vcenters. and also 2) check the dns resolution on both esxi as well vcenter. (try to add with IP adress of the hostname). if it is not the case , check the Vpxa logs
Check the DNS record for that host and make sure everything matches correctly.
Please mark helpful and correct answers.
I've checkered the DNS record for this ESX host and its all ok.

Can you show the error you get when you try to connect this host to vCenter? Also, do you have any other hosts connected to this vCenter?

My VCenter and ESXi both are 5.5.0
DNS configuration also place well- I test nslookup by host name and ip for both sides
even trying to add host by IP return the same error.
where can I find the vpxa log? on the VCenter server? i
