Malformed TPM Security Certificate

We are using the VMware (v7.0) CLI interface (docker) to extract a TPM EK and certificate from a new purchased HPE server (HPE Proliant Microserver G10) with installed TPM module (864279-B21 is the part number for Trusted Platform Module 2.0 Gen10). The command we execute is: Export-Tpm2CACertificate -Tpm2EndorsementKey $tpm2 -FilePath cacert.zip). The certificate return is malformed and non-useable (e.g. the tail of the certificate contains the following text:

j/////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

/////////////////////w== -----END CERTIFICATE-----

My question is has this error been seen before and is there a resolution? If not, is this a bug that needs to be submitted? Thanks!
