We currently have a project to migrate our management network over to a new switch!
There will be a point where we are moving the subnet over, which means the management network will be disconnected!
My question is will this affect the running virtual machines on the vDS?
We current have:
vSwitch - with management network and vMotion
vDS switches - with portgroups per VLANS with VMs on.
This is likely to be a loss on management network across ALL hosts, but I really wanted to know if this would affect our vDS as this is part of vCenter.
