Logs of Vcenter server & Hosts

Hi,

I would like to check the log files of Vcenter server and ESXI hosts , we had a power shutdown more than 24 hours so I want to find out at what time the vcenter server & hosts went down and when they started working.

Kindly suggest the best way to check the logs in details (by changing the date). current version of Hosts and Vcenter server is 5.1

Hi,

Thank you for replying. However, I am able to see many logs but I am not able to find the logs related with the shutdown of vcenter server and hosts. The power went down on 3/11/2018 at 22:30 PM.

I cant find the exact log which shows the power was down at 22:30 PM and then it started working once the power is restored on the next day i.e. on 04/11/2018 at 7:30 AM

Maybe it was not time for vmware to write to the log.
