Licences

Dear all,

We have  bought Vsphere Enterprises 5.5 licences . can we use these licence in present Vcenter 4.1 enterprises or i need to upgrade  ?

maybe you're will be able to downgrade your licenses. Take a look to this.

Hi Browlin,

Yes you should be able to downgrade the license to vSphere 4.

One of my customer downgraded their vSphere 5.5 Ent+ License to vSphere 4 at My VMware - the steps are described in the VMware KB provided by Pablo in above reply.

Below is the screenshot that I got from my customer

Additional information: Please note that vSphere 4 End of Support is 2014/05/21 and End of Technical Guidance is 2016/05/21 as per VMware Product Lifecycle Matrix http://www.vmware.com/go/lifecycle
