LBT, LACP + routed based on IP hash or, simply, routed based on IP hash?

Dear All,

I just created a VMware vSphere 6.7 U3 cluster using vCenter Appliance and two servers.

Each server contains:

n.1 x 4-ports 1Gb network adapter;

n.1 x 2-ports 25Gb network adapter;

n.1 x 2-ports 40Gb network adapter.

I created:

- n.1 distributed switch, named "dsw-mng", using two 1Gb ports of each server for management;

- n.1 distributed switch, named "dsw-net", using two 25Gb ports of each server for virtual machines networks;

- n.1 distributed switch, named "dsw-nfs", using two 40Gb ports of each server for NFS datastore mount and vMotion needs.

Initially, all 3 dswitches teaming mode was set to "route based on originating virtual port", but now I would like to set the right (or more efficient) teaming mode.
Unfortunately, I'm a little bit confused about which one I need to set:

- LBT (route base don physical NIC load) without change anything on physical switch configuration (no LAG,no LACP);

- LACP + route based on IP hash + some change on physical switch configuration;

- simply route based on IP hash without any change on physical switch configuration (no LAG,no LACP).

Someone says that LACP is not needed, someone suggests to use LBT and so on.

Could you please help me to understand when and why a particular teaming mode should be used?

Thank you in advance,

Mauro
