How do you keep a VM from being automatically migrated to another host?

Check whether you have vSphere DRS enabled on the cluster.

1. Right Click on the Cluster > Select Edit Settings

2. If the tick box is checked under Cluster Features for "Turn On vSphere DRS", then DRS is turned on

3. Select vSphere DRS and notice the automation level it is set to, you may select Partially automated to control the VM's migration in entire cluster.

4. If you want to turn off migration for one particular VM, select Virtual Machine Options under vSphere DRS > Select the VM from list and set the automation level to Manual or Disabled.
