Joining Windows clients to a specific OU

Hello community,

Does anyone know if it is possible to join a vm to a specific OU using guest customization? Any attempt to do so failed, so before I add some script to the RunOnce commands, I was wondering if there is a way to do that thru the GC interface?

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you tried the below:

http://www.tech-tap.com/2011/10/01/vcloud-trick-joining-a-domain-and-specifying-a-machine-ou/ - should work across the different products that have the guest customization feature

Hope this helps

Hi JC,

Many thanks for the very quick response!

I have read that and have been using something similar for vCD. I have a PS script doing that for me, but was wondering if I can pass the OU also directly in the GC since i can specify a domain. If there's no direct way to pass the OU, I'll use the alternative. This question is more out of curiosity as to me it would make sense to be able to specify a OU if an offer to join a domain is made...
Thanks !
