Is there a proper way to disable the C#(fat)-client? (vsphere 6.0)

I'm curious if there is a "proper" way to disable the old C#-client from accessing vCenter?

I've found the following, but it doesn't seem like the best practice way...

http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2012/12/blocking-vsphere-c-client-logins.html

The reason for blocking the old client is that we're updating from 6.0 to 6.5 in a few months but most of

my colleagues (and myself included sometimes, I admit...) are still using the old client out of old habit.

So, in an effort to give our users a chance to get used to the webclient before the upgrade, I thought I'd

give it a try to force them off the old client.

Unfortunately this is not possible from vSphere in vSphere 6.0.

With vSphere 6.5 it is no longer possible to use the vSphere C# Client to connect to the vCenter Server, so that covers the vCenter Server but you can use it to connect to the ESXi host.

What could be on option is to use Applocker on Windows to block the vSphere C# Client from running.
