I had an unpleasant surprise when I went to install a new instance of the VCSA 6.0, my web-browser (Chrome, which I use for all interaction with the Dreaded Web-Client) timed out while detecting the Client Integration Plugin!
I knew I had installed the Client Integration Plugin (it is not a difficult install), so I began checking with Uncle Google, updating proxy settings, even re-installing Chrome and the Client Integration Plugin several times in various orders, to no avail.
Only after I tore-out all of my hair did I remember something about NAPI no longer being supported and asked Uncle Google about that, where I found a chain of VMware KB articles culminating in this one:VMware KB: After updating Google Chrome to version 45 or later the vSphere Web Client Integration... which is apparently so new, Google has not indexed it yet!
The upshot is: Chrome was updated to Version 45 in the very recent past (like a week ago), making it incompatible with existing installations of the Client Integration Plugin. The KB article referenced above has a link to a version of the Client Integration Plugin that will work (takes a VERY long time to install, though!)
