Installing MS SQL for vCenter & Horizon for non-DBAs

Are there hands-on-labs or documentation on installing & configuring Microsoft SQL for use by vCenter Server 6.7 and Horizon View 7?

I know I could go with the vCenter appliance, but I'd still need to stand up a SQL server for Horizon, and so I'd be in the same boat. I don't have SQL DBA experience, and the instructions in the normal vCenter installation guide clearly expect a decent working knowledge of MS SQL.

Thanks!

There really aren't specialized steps to installing MS SQL for vCenter versus Horizon versus anything else. It's fairly generic and isn't that difficult. It does not require you have DBA-like skills. I'd simply recommend you read some blog articles out there. However, I'd point out that if you do go with vCenter on Windows (which is basically a waste of time considering it has no future), which has by default an internal database option, you'd still need to opt for an external SQL database if your goal was to connect both it and Horizon to the same one.
