I need to identify orphan disks

Hello All,

I tried to run rvtools to identify orphan disks. It said zombie disk please check for some drives. As I am not sure I tried to rename the vmdk files from datastore. But the rename option was greyed out. Kindly let me know how to identify if the disk is being used.

You can view the vmdk in use manually under the settings of your vm (Edit Settings > Hard Disk > Disk File). If you are needing to go deeper than that, you can SSH to the host verify a few indicators. You can check mounted disks as well as check files for locks, references, and their timestamps to come to a better conclusion. Here is a good article on that process.
