Welcome to the Community,

some more details would help. Which vCenter Server Version do you use? Which user account do you try to login with?

When you first login after installation, you will have to login using the user account that was created during the installation, e.g. administrator@vsphere.local

  1. Log in to the vSphere Web Client with the Administrator@vsphere.local , (The SSO account and password you setup during Installation)
  2. Navigate to Administration > Single Sign-On > Users and Groups
  3. Under vCenter Users and Groups, select the Groups tab
  4. Locate the Administrators Group
  5. Under Group Members, click Add member icon
  6. In the Add Principals window, select the appropriate domain for your user under the Domain drop-down (Make Sure you have added Active Directory as identity Sources)
  7. Locate your user
  8. Click Add
  9. Click OK
  10. Retry now login with user you added.

Helo Mtare,

It looks like you that username you are trying to login to vcenter is not having necessary permissions. You first need to check if:

1.) you are able to access your vcenter server with administrator@vsphere.local account ?

2) If yes, then you need to check Your user permission in vcenter Group settings as it is allowed or not.

please do let us know if you still have issue.

Regards,

Sanjeev
