Our use case is to convert windows & Linux machines virtual machines which are running in Hyper-V platform to VMware environment. We are planning to use VMware convertor, is it possible to perform offline migration of VMs in this case? If we have direct access to the hyper-v hypervisor at the source, is it possible to convert the powered off VMs or the VMs needs to be running always, irrespective of whether we connect to hypervisor or to the VMs ?
Which is the best approach.
You can use a powered-off Hyper-V VM as source for your conversion task.
Does, Linux VMs supports power off method?
