How to reset root password in ESXI 4.1 /5.1

HI All

I have goggled and found one KB from VM Ware for reset root password It Says that we need to re-install the host ? and recommended by VM Ware so friends is there any other way to reset the root password other than re-installing the host n which is safe with you experience

Kindly share any experiences on this ?
