How to rename VM files after cloning

Have created a clone of Prod VMs for a test Environment.

So the vmx, vmxf, nvram files names are the same as Prod vm.

How i can change it? Also what else need to be changed and where? Thank you in advance!

The easiest way to rename all files, and the metadata within the files is to change the VM's name in the inventory, and then Storage vMotion the VM to another datastore.

If this isn't an option, and you want to rename the files manually, then please post a list of files (the output of ls -lisa) which are in the VM's folder, to find out what needs to be modified.

Hmm.... when using vCenter for creating a clone you cant use the same name as the source VM.  Please specify how you clone your VM.
