I'm trying to migrate my Exchange server from vCenter 6.0 to vCenter 7.0 and failing. I've tried using the VMware converter and I tried restoring the VM into v7 using my Veeam software and both failed. With the Veeam restore I did get an error stating that the v6 VMware Tools had a known bug.
Now I'm thinking about removing my Exchange server from vCenter6, unregistering it from v6, and then re-registering it in v7. Will this work? Should I remove VMware Tools from the Exchange server before the move? Any additional steps I should take or any caveats I need to watch out for?
