How to determine network usage over time?

I need to determine the amount of data that has been transferred in and out of a specific VM over a period of time. I can see a graph of throughput in MB/s over time, but not a way of viewing the total data transferred. Is there a way of doing this within Vcenter, or a way of exporting the data and processing it externally to get the aggregate figure?

Wow, that all looks very complicated. LucD has a thing called Stats Toolbox that is slightly less techy. Could I use that to get the figures I need do you think? Scripting isn't my area really.

I am not sure if that include network stats, you can give a try.
