How to cancel or stop thin to thick disk inflate.

My apologies in advance if this has been answered somewhere else that I haven't found. I have looked through all these and other forums and haven't had any luck.

So I powered off a vm and started a disk inflate to convert from thin to thick. I knew the inflate would take a while but had no idea it would take this long. It is a large disk. 5TB thin disk with only 230gb filled so far.

The inflate is now on 40% and it has been running for 2 days. I would like to just cancel the inflate and remove and recreate the disk as the data on the disk isn't very important. The cancel link in the task window is not available meaning I can't graciously stop the inflate from the vcenter gui. How would I manually kill the process. I have tried running a ps | grep inflate type search while connected via ssh to the vcenter and esxi 6.5 server.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Restarting vCenter server or vCenter server service should clear this task.
