How to apply VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.0.0.30900-13638471-patch-FP

I need to apply VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.0.0.30900-13638471-patch-FP to my 6.0 version vCenter Server. I have loaded the ISO in the DVD but cannot figure out how to invoke it. We do not allow SSH here so posts on Google are no help (tried PSEXEC with negative results) and I cant find the "Update" button anywhere in the GUI except as pertains to VMWare Tools.

Hello,

1. Log in to your vCenter Management, https://[vcenterIP]:5480 

2. Go to Update

3. Do the update while CD is mounted to vCenter VM

I was afraid that was going to be the answer.....we tried that but our network or maybe the proxy is stopping the connection. I've set up both inbound and outbound rules allowing it on both the server and my workstation with no luck. Is ther no other way to load this patch? Thanks for your time!

Download the FP ISO patch from https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/patch

Take snapshot of VCSA before patching.

Attach the VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.0.0.30900-13638471-patch-FP.iso file to the vCenter Server Appliance CD or DVD drive.

Log in to the appliance shell as root(from VM Console) and run the commands given below:

To stage the ISO:

software-packages stage --iso

To see the staged content:

software-packages list --staged

To install the staged rpms:

software-packages install --staged
