How many VMs per host?

Sorry for the noob question, but I'm learning.

How many VMs can I have on a host? I have eight and the vSphere web client won't let me create any new ones.

Please provide some details of what exactly you see. Any error messages?

Basically you can create thousands of VMs, although it depends on the number of ESXi hosts and the available resources how many of them you can power on simultaneously.

Interesting, Now I'm being given the button to create a new machine. Maybe an IE problem. Sorry to the false report, but thanks for the info!
