Could you let me know how get to know vCenter is virtual or physical.
I'm accessing vCenter via remote location.
Check if VMware tools is installed on the machine?If it is VM, I am sure they might have VMware tools installed for better performance and drivers.

Simplest thing I can think of is to check the MAC address. VMware assigns the exact same first 3 octets to every vm in your environment, and they're usually quite different from that of a physical piece of hardware.
