Fresh Install of vCenter 5.1. Cannot log in.

Just did a fresh install of vCenter 5.1b.  Everything went fine during the install.  I installed SSO first, then Inventory service, then vCenter (using the SQL 2008 express DB), then Web Client.

When I try to log into vCenter it says "Cannot complete login due to incorrect username and password".  I've tried the SSO account and the regular Active Directory admin account.  What step am I missing?  Do I need to make any changes to the 2008 express database that it creates by default?

I am able to log into the vCenter Web Client by using the SSO account credentials but I can't configure vCenter.

I have also followed the instructions in this KB article to create an Idenity Source: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=203575...

Thanks.

Hi,

Can you see if you can logon to your vsphere client using a local administrator id and password from the vCenter machine?

do you see even the vcenter server listed when you logged on via the web client? permissions maybe (though unlikely)
