Followed the steps as per the KB > VMware KB: vmware-vpxd service fails to start in vCenter Server Appliance but could not able to resolve the issue.

The vCenter appliance is part of a domain. The AD domain is added as Identity source in SSO server. I do not see vCenter server listed, if I login with administrator@vsphere.local because vpxd fails to start.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The issue was not resolved.....I was fed up and re-deployed and configured VCSA again.....I would suggest you raise a Support Request with VMware:)

I am also thinking of just redeploying the VCSA and do the db restore. But it annoys me to have this much of work instead of just deleting a record from ldap which you can do if you have vCenter on Windows.

I logged a Support Request with VMware by uploading VCSA logs twice and the techie guy tried his best but the issue was not resolved. I believe its a bug within the product and needs to be fixed by VMware team.

Do you have the steps that you took to get this problem? Any bug report would need a repro steps.
