Hi I've just been told by a colleague that Essentials Plus licensing will go EOL in 3-6 months with no similar replacement. So we will have to sell Standard licenses instead. Does anyone know if this is true?
We frequently sell 2-3 host vCenter solutions, often to customers who would prefer to go Hyper-V based on cost. We have a difficult task selling in VMware but base the sell on its performance, reliability and ease of support compared to Hyper-V.
If we have to start charging customers £7-9k for licensing instead of £2k there is no way they will accept it. They will undoubtedly go Hyper-V.
Can anyone share any info they have on these changes?
