Hello folks,
I've recently upgraded to vcenter 5.1 U1a successfully.
I am following VMware articles and popular blog to prepare and run the VMware certificate automation tool 1.0.

http://www.derekseaman.com/2013/04/using-vmware-vcenter-certificate.html
Everything was pretty smooth until I got to replacing the vcenter server SSL certificate. Option 2 of vcenter ssl update. See pic attached.
After the error, my vcenter service will not start.
I've tried resetting the database password using vpxd.exe -p, but vcenter still will not start.
I've also verified that the correct service ID is matched between vpxd.cfg and LS_ServiceID.prop.
Stuck at this point. I've since gone back to snapshot, but trying to see if anyone has suggestions?
Could this be from typing a password wrong?
Thanks!

Thank you for your response.
I am reading through the article. Not sure yet how it could be related... but I will take it into consideration on my next attempt.
Thanks again.
Read the second line of your screenshot, you will see the relation
Ah! I should have seen that! Thanks for the response.
I will study this...in preparation for my next attempt.
I'll go ahead and close this thread. I have not had the time to try a second time.
I will send out an update when I can.
