I am getting the following error when replacing the SSL certificate.
Error occurred while fetching tls: String index out of range: -1
Anyone suggest something?

I fixed it. Just open the certificate in Text editor and copy/paste it in the required field.

I used "Browse file" in a other vCenter and it was OK.
Today I got your issue with "Error occurred while fetching tls: String index out of range: -1". Fixed with copy&paste...
logs:
TLS Certificate replacement failed : String index out of range: -1
Publishing telemetry data to VAC failed with exception : Failed : HTTP error code : 400
java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

My combined CA chain had a trailing space, perhaps look out for that too.
