Error during provisioning.

Hi folks!

I have an issue with provisioning clients to a new desktop pool.

I get this error message in View Administrator:

Error during provisioning: Initial publish failed: Fault type is UNKNOWN_FAULT_FATAL - After waiting for 600 seconds internal template VM: vm-5322 is still has not finished customization. Giving up!

I have 3 snapshots on my parent (golden) image. And it is just the last one that throws this error. I have deleted it and created a new snapshot, same error.

If i deploy a new desktop pool with my second snapshopt, it works just fine.. so it seems that i wont find my latest snapshot.

Anyone seen this issue before, and have a solution for it?

I'm not sure where to start investigat, what kind of logs i should look at.

vCenter reports that XXX VirtualMachine.createForkChild.label not found XXX

Not sure if this message has anything to do with my provisioning error...

Make sure that the parent VM has a DNS server correctly configured and is able to get an IP address. Also refer the KB 2144938 for more information. If this does'nt fix then clone the Parent VM and recreate the scenario. All the best
