EVC Mode doubt

Hi,

I have the following intel processor in one of my esxi hosts - Intel Xeon E7-4850-v3.

I'm trying to enable evc mode but I did not find any compatible type in the EVC mode option.

I'm using vCenter Server 6.0.0. Do you know if this processor is compatible with EVC mode or even is it possible use vMotion without EVC mode enable? I'm not sure if update the vcenter server to the latest build available will solve this situation.

Thanks

Your processor and vCenter is compatible with the following EVC modes: Haswell, Ivy Bridge, Sandy Brigd, Westmere, Nehalem, Penryn and Merom.

The reason why you're not able to enable the EVC mode may be due the fact you're with running virtual machine that are using CPU features not present on EVC mode you're selecting.

Please, share some screenshots about the error and let us know if your virtual machines are powered on or off.

You are right! The virtual machines are on and seems that some of them are causing the issue. I'll do another try with virtual machines down. Thanks a lot!
