ESXi host event log file location

vSphere 6.5

In vCenter, I can go to an ESXi host > Monitor > Tasks and Events >Events to see all events for an ESXi host. Where the source this event list is from? Using this GUI is too slow. I'd like to find the text version to parse it. I've looked around /var/log/ but none seems to match "exactly." Maybe it's selectively output to the GUI?

thanks,

It's stored in the VCDB as far as I know.

Oh, that's too bad. Scrolling through GUI is really not how things should be done for system events especially sometimes there are a lot of them...

Thanks,.

Well, you should be able to access them via API or PowerCLI though.
