ESXi host changing vCenter ownership????

Hey everyone just reaching out to see if anyone has experienced this issue.

The lowdown -

Production vCenter 6.0 U1  | 4x hosts 6.0 u1b | IP 10.10.254.10 |

DR vCenter 6.0 U2 | 2 x Hosts | IP 10.10.249.11

Zerto Replicating from Prod to DR, vCenters not tied in any way, different subnets no linked mode, only sharing AD and DNS. Root passwords different between PROD and DR.

The issue I am seeing is that a PROD host in now showing as disconnected when trying to reconnect in it now tells me that it is being managed by the DR vcenter IP address however does not show in DR vCenter, This is now the second time its happened on different host. to rectify it last time i had to remove the hose from vCenter then re add the host. I want to get to the bottom of this now. Checking the vpxa and host log I cant see anything striking out around the change. I have changed the ip address in the vpxa.cfg file manually to the correct vCenter address however after triggering a reconnect it changes back to the incorrect DR vcenter address.

So frustrating!

Thanks

David

Not trying to blame it on Zerto but host just don't randomly join different vCenters.  I'm assuming DNS records are accurate?  Was Zerto in place when it happened before?

Zerto was in place when it happened. I doubt Zerto can be responsible for changing a hosts management address though.

Have you checked the vCenter Server Runtime settings? In the Web Client: vCenter Server -> Manage -> Settings -> General -> Runtime settings

You can specify the name and IP address of the vCenter Server here. If these are incorrect your hosts will disconnect.
