ESXi 6.7 Webinterface User for only rebooting VMs

Hi there,

i am searching for a solution to create another user who is able to restart / start / shutdown a VM without being able to change settings etc.

What I did so far was:

create a role with this permissions:

But if I login with the created user for this role I do only see the VMs the user is supposed to see, so far so good. But If I click on a VM or mark one in the list this happens:

Any suggestions how to realize this?

Thank you guys in advance!

6.7 introduces some new permissions issues which have made it a bit more difficult to set object-based permissions within vCenter.

I've outlined how I figured out how to place user-specific permissions on selected VMs, Resource Pools, etc for 6.7 in this thread: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/617302

Hope it helps!
