Disconnected ESXi

An ESXi host disconnected from the VCSA and am unable to also access its GUI. Have enabled SSH via DCUI but it's also timing out for certain commands (such esxcli system/network) saying that it cannot connect to localhost.

Do you have any suggestions as I cannot migrate the running VM's so a reboot will be the last resource (but at the same time I do not want to cause any downtime to the VMs ideally)

If you have access to DCUI, then try restarting management agents on the host and see if you see any improvements.

unfortunately that may impact the running VM's so its not an option.

Restarting the management agents won't have any impact on your guest VMs.

Try restarting the Management Services as it wont impact the services.

At the same time try and test the management network.
