DataCenter configuration approach!!

Hi have a project where i have to implement a Vmware datacenter... what is the best approach in terms of physical hosts ?

4 very strong and powerful hosts or have 8 not so powerful but with the same capacity has a a group, has the very powerful 4?

They both have explained good whether to select big size host or more hosts with small size.
