Considerations for rebuilding a vCenter assoicated with a vCloud Director platform
One of our vCenter 5.5 server behavior oddly these days. VMware support has suggested us to build another brand new vCenter server which points to the same remote database as this existing one. The problem is that we have a vCloud Director 5.5 platform in place which is tied to this existing vCenter server. How can we move to a new vCenter without causing impact to the vCloud Director setup? Anyone have done the similar thing before?
I'd suggest you to ask for escalation, and put some pressure on the support representatives in effectively troubleshooting the problems you have on the actual vCenter instead of suggesting you to destroy and recreate a production environment.
