Connecting to ESX server without vCenter

Hello all

I have a remote ESX server and I want to connect to it using Vmware View to clone clients and runs scripts for automation.

Can I achieve this without vCenter or will I need vCenter for it?

You need to connect your View environment to a vCenter. As far as I know it´s not possible to use a single ESXi host.

You will need to connect your host to vCenter.

View Connection Server is not designed to work with the hosts directly, it talks to vCenter and then vCenter manages the vSphere environment.
