Hello All,
I installed the Cisco UCS Plugin version 1.0.2 on my VC (Version 5.5.0.2001466), the Cisco Installer Tool told me that it is successful installed. When I open the Web Client the Plugin are not visible at the Home Tab.
Any Ideas how I can use the Plugin?
Thanks
Johannes
Hi,
So we are clear on your progress, can you confirm the below 100%:
1) You have created the folder manually within the web client folder on the vCenter server for ucs-vcplugin like this ? Inside that folder is what I linked to in my previous post?
2) You have re-started the web client services on vCenter server?
3) When you login to web client on the administrator@vsphere.local, you can navigate: Home, Administration, Solutions, Client Plug-Ins and see the VCE Vision plugin as enabled?
Sorry to ask simple questions but I am trying to be clear with where you are exactly.
Regards,
Ryan
Hi,
Silly question, but has the Web Client service been restarted since the plugin has installed?
Also, if you navigate to to:
*Install directory\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\vSphereWebClient\plugin-packages\
Is there a directory for the ucs-vcplugin? Does it contain a plugins folder and the relevant package .xml file?
Cheers,
Ryan
Hi,
Can you try logging in as administrator@vsphere.local and selecting Administration -> Solutions -> Client plug-ins and see if its there? If so try to enable it.
Hello,
also there are not visible

Hi,
Can you confirm the answer to my question above?
Is the folder there on your install path? If not, it sounds like the installer has not completed. The installer would not work for me, so instead, I did the following:
1) Download the VCE plugin from the main site here (or the plugin directly)
2) Copy the contents of the ZIP file to:
(Install Drive):\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\vSphereWebClient\plugin-packages\ucs-vcplugin\
"ucs-vcplugin" folder needs creating manually
3) You will have something that looks like this.
4) Restart the vCenter Web Services
5) Login to web client (once restarted) as the administrator@vsphere.local account and check the plugin is enabled. If not, enable it.
This should fix the problem. From here you can follow the documentation on the UCS site to add in your UCS domain to manage through the plugin.
Hope this helps. HTH
