Changing vCenter domain

I am the admin for three software testing labs, and I have been tasked with consolidating the DNS domains into a single domain so users can reference systems easier.  I have a total of five vCenter servers that authenticate to different AD domains which also happen to be DNS domains.  So, I need to change these vCenter servers to use the new domain for authentication.  Is there as advisable process to use to change these over?

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, the vCenter servers are all 5.1 or 5.5.

since you are using 5.1 and 5.5, add  new domain servers to sso identity source and make it default authentication domain.

Hi

Welcome to communities.

From the vSphere Client, navigate to vCenter Server Settings > Advanced Settings .

Update these attributes with the correct FQDN of vCenter Server:

VirtualCenter.VimApiUrl : https://:443/sdk

VirtualCenter.VimWebServicesUrl : https://:8443/vws

Restart the VMware VirtualCenter Management Webservices service

Thanks.  That sounds pretty easy.  I'll do this over the weekend and see how it works.
