Changing the vCenter windows local Administrator password

Hello,

  I  recently changed the vCenter windows local Administrator password, and it seems that vCenter is no longer able to connect to VDP.  In VDP the only error message I seem to get is:
"Failed to retrieve the storage information on the appliance" in the vdp-configure interface.

Is there a more correct way to change the local Administrator password then I used?

Hi,

you need to log into your VDP appliance from the vSphere Web client and go to the configuration tab.

There you can define a user which VDP uses to log into vCenter. Enter the new password here.
