Change the display of folders 'VMs and Templates' view

Hello Everyone!

We recently upgraded to version 7 from 5.5 and couldn't figure out how to change the display of folders and nested VMs in 'VMs and Templates' view. In the vCenter view, only the root folder is displayed, and we need to configure the tree and see all the subfolders and VMs.

Did this functionality remain in the 7th version? Could you tell me, please, how to enable this feature in version 7?

Thanks in advance!

BR

There's been an issue with the folders in the first 7.0 versions, which however has been fixed in 7.0.0b.

Maybe a good time for an update to the latest version!?

Right click on the Folder and select "New Folder"
I tested in lab and I was able to create Sub-folders in 7.0

What build do you have? Perhaps we need to update, because it didn't work out on our build like you did. The folder is being created, but it is not in the tree.

it is not depend on Version.

it could be your mistake on select folder. when make first folder you must select this folder and add new one .

Yes, you are right, it works when you select the 'Host and Cluster' folder type, but when you select the 'VMs and Templates', a normal tree does not work. And I 'm just asking about the 'VMs and Templates', because we need to orginise our VMs.

I cant understand you,

when you are in "VM and Templates"  you must select your folder and right click on it and select " new Folder " just it.

Yes, that's exactly what I do, but for some reason, it doesn't work for me. That's why I asked about the build.
